A&E to Present "Stephen King's Bag of Bones" Mini-Series Starring Pierce Brosnan

A&E Networks will begin production next month on "Stephen King's Bag of Bones," a four-hour epic mini-series thrill-ride based on the New York Times number one bestselling novel, featuring Pierce Brosnan's return to television. The two-night event from Sony Pictures Television is scheduled to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2011.

A&E has announced via press release that it has given a green light to Bag Of Bones, a four-hour miniseries based on Stephen King’s 1998 novel of the same name, with a debut date scheduled for later this year. Pierce Brosnan will take the lead role, returning to television for the first time since his early-’90s heyday of made-for-TV thrillers like Death Train and Detonator II: The Night Watch that he’d probably prefer you not mention in polite company.
Girlfriends Guide to Divorce

If I were watching this show on another network, would I like it? That was the question I struggled with throughout the series debut of Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce.
Full disclosure: I am an unabashed Bravoholic. At one point, my claim to fame was that I had seen at least one episode of every show Bravo that had ever aired—I’ve slipped a bit since then; my numbers are more in the 90 percent range these days. But the point is, I am Bravo’s demographic. So, even if I haven’t read the Vicki Iovine novels on which Girlfriends’ Guide is based (I haven’t), I should have been able to settle into the network’s first foray into scripted television easily. Such was not the case.
